Bob Perls brings a lifelong connection to the German-American story, serving as the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany to the state of New Mexico. A former U.S. Diplomat and entrepreneur, Bob's journey is one of reconciliation and bridge-building; he is the grandson of the renowned psychologists Fritz and Lore Perls, who fled Germany in 1933. After a career in the U.S. Foreign Service—including two years living in Frankfurt—he now uses his diplomatic expertise to represent German interests in New Mexico, fostering a relationship built on shared values and future industrial growth.

THE NMGEA FOUNDING BOARD
Currently the NMGEA already has a vast network of companies in our Innovations Cluster. To accelerate the growth of our transatlantic network, the NMGEA is currently offering complimentary membership for all qualifying organizations through December 2027. This inaugural period allows our Founding Cluster to directly shape the alliance’s strategic roadmap and industrial priorities before the transition to a formal fee structure.
